vlt version

Usage:

$ vlt version [<newversion> | major | minor | patch | premajor | preminor | prepatch | prerelease]

Bump a package's version.

Run in a package directory to bump the version and write the new data back to package.json.

The <newversion> argument should be a valid semver string or a valid increment type (one of patch, minor, major, prepatch, preminor, premajor, prerelease).

If run in a git repository, it will also create a version commit and tag.

Options

no-git-tag-version

Bump the version without creating a git commit or tag.

$ vlt version patch --no-git-tag-version

Useful for bumping several workspaces and then committing all of the changes together:

$ vlt version prerelease --workspace="./infra/cli*" --no-git-tag-version
$ git commit -am 'v1.2.3'

no-commit

Create the git tag, but leave the version bump uncommitted.

$ vlt version patch --no-commit
